Friday and Saturday morning were admittedly not fun. Saying goodbye to Justin was beyond painful. But the tears really didn't last as long. I was crying because I would miss him, but as soon as I hopped in the car, I was smiling and eager to arrive at my New York home. The plane rides were actually very nice: not much turbulence, I got some reading done, and I listed to Don Savage's podcast, Savage Lovecast. The bus from LaGuardia was fine, and I saw the most beautiful view from the bridge of Manhattan's skyline at sunset. This city will never cease to inspire me.
But the best part of yesterday had to be the hellos. Last night was a flurry of hugs, Mario Kart 64, Pinkberry's grapefruit froyo, sushi and thai iced tea, and puzzles. It felt like I never had left. The best thing is that it continues until tuesday! It's like Christmas all over again, except this time the presents are my friends. I feel so lucky to know all of these people, and I can't believe that I get to spend another semester with them.
