It is official, nor'easter Nemo has hit New York. I was dubious as to what New Yorkers would consider a "blizzard," since very little can rival a true blizzard in Nebraska. But I was proved wrong. Until about 2:00 this afternoon the storm was a mixture of sleet and freezing rain that turned this city into a skating rink. But now it's started to snow, and I must say it is beautiful. I really did miss the substantive snows we get at home. Winter here thus far had been half an inch of snow that helped instantly and made everything damp and cold. But this is beautiful. We shall see what happens in the next 24 hours, but stay warm and enjoy the snow!
