Today I'm going home, what I've been talking about for the past few weeks. I'm currently sitting in the Chicago airport waiting to fly to Omaha.

Goodbyes are hard for me, but I've found that transitioning between my two homes  is helped a lot by the fact that there are so many people that I love in both places.

I'll post more about my summer plans later, but for today I just need to see my loved ones, my puppy, and relax for a day. I have nothing to do but enjoy the company of others. I have nothing to complain about today.

Meet The Author

I'm Madysen, born and raised in Nebraska but now living out my dreams in New York City. I moved here to go to Columbia, but living in New York has become so much more to me. This blog is a space where I can share my experiences of reconciling my midwestern upbringing with the life I live in the city. But even bigger than that, this blog serves as a space where I can try to understand where I fit into the larger social world, where I want to go in life, and how I want to go about pursuing all of these endeavors.
